NAPLEX pass rate

When the official board pass rates were released this year by the National Board of Pharmacy (NABP), the Daniel K. Inouye College of Pharmacy (DKICP) had reason to celebrate. The Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) Class of 2025 achieved a 90.9% first time pass rate for the North American Pharmacist Licensure Exam (NAPLEX). This outcome is significantly higher than the average of 85.7% for all pharmacy schools.

In addition to the NAPLEX, pharmacy graduates must also pass a jurisprudence exam on relevant laws and regulations in order to practice. The DKICP Class of 2025 achieved a 75.0% first time pass rate for the Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Exam (MPJE), which was just above the 73.6% average for all pharmacy schools.

“The strong board pass rates by the Class of 2025, especially for the NAPLEX, is a testament to the quality of the education offered at the DKICP,” said Rae Matsumoto, dean of the college. “The faculty work closely with our students to support their success and to collectively serve our communities.”
