Pharmacy Admissions Success Track
!
The Daniel K. Inouye College of Pharmacy (DKICP) offers a glide path and early admissions into the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program through the Pharmacy Admissions Success Track (PhAST). PhAST allows aspiring pharmacists to complete their pre-requisites in as little as two years, and guarantees early admissions into the DKICP PharmD program when program requirements are met and maintained.
Students in the DKICP PhAST complete prerequisite requirements of 52-54 credits while meeting GPA and other requirements. Students in this pathway receive personalized mentoring, support for academic progress, and assistance with application preparation and interview readiness to strengthen their application to DKICP. PhAST students also have access to DKICP activities, workshops, and seminars as appropriate.
Students applying to DKICP PhAST must meet the following requirements:
- Proof of acceptance (high school students) or enrollment (college students) at a campus of the University of Hawaiʻi system.
- Submission of a PhAST Admission application to DKICP.
- For high school students: have a high school grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 or higher.
- For college students: have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- An expressed interest and commitment to the study of Pharmacy.
- Desirable experiences include: demonstration of achievement in leadership, research, volunteer and/or community service activities with a priority to those related to health.

- Earn a grade of C or better in all prerequisite courses listed for enrollment into DKICP.

- High Honors - those who aspire to maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.8 or higher
