Prudencio selected for AACP Fellowship program
September 8, 2023
Dr. Jarred Prudencio has been selected as a member of the 20th cohort of the AACP Academic Leadership Fellowship Program, which supports and contributes to the development of leaders in academic pharmacy and higher education. The program provides participants with an opportunity to expand relationships with peers and colleagues at other institutions, as well as within their own college and university.
Prudencio is a DKICP associate professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice and director of experiential education.
“I’m honored to represent our college and excited to network with pharmacy professionals from other institutions around the country,” he says. “As the only pharmacy college in the Pacific, it’s important that we make and maintain these valuable connections.”
The new cohort of 35 fellows, chosen from across the country, begins the year-long program this month, and includes four in-person meetings, with the first two held in Washington, DC. The program provides resources in conjunction with experiential activities designed by the dean mentor at the home college. Critical topics addressing how to lead change; manage conflict; promote diversity, equity and inclusion; and develop leadership styles and theory will be covered throughout the year.
“We congratulate Dr. Prudencio in being chosen for this select program, and look forward to all that he will accomplish during his program year,” says Interim Dean Miriam Mobley Smith.
